  Ever since I started watching White Collar I developed this thing for Fedora hats. You just have to look at Neal Caffery [played by the so-obviously-hot and awesomely talented Matt Bomer] to understand -

So, here I was, a few months ago, browsing the Internet for pictures of the Fedora. I don't know why, but I never realized that I could wear one - it always seemed perfect for men. I mean, I never thought that the Fedora was not exclusively for men.

Well, hello bolt of lightning that hit me [figuratively, bien sûr!] this afternoon - the Fedora can be worn by women too! Yeah, I know, so silly that I never thought about this before.

Hence this new addition to my list of things-that-I'm-going-to-buy-when-I-start-working.

I'm gonna go all teenage girl on you here: ZOMG! I so totally can't wait!!

Song of the Moment

I'm a big fan of Enrique Iglesias. I don't understand Spanish, which is why I never found his Spanish tracks interesting before.

However, this morning, while browsing Youtube,  I came across one of his new Spanish songs from his new bilingual album Euphoria which will be released in July. The song I'm talking about is the first single, "Cuando Me Enamoro" featuring Juan Luis Guerra, released in April.

Though I can't understand a word they're singing, I completely, utterly fell in love with the song.

Happy Valentine's Day Internet people!

Personally I'm not into this Valentine's Day thing. I mean, why should there be a special day to show that you love someone special, friends and family? Celebrate everyday like it's Valentine's day.. that's the only way!

Inanimate Objects: 1, Moi: 1

The first thing I do upon waking up is switching on my computer, then I go get a cup of tea and come back to check my mails and facebook before getting ready to go to the university.

On Tuesday morning, holding a cup of tea in one hand, I sat down and reached over to switch off the box fan [which was ON all night since it was so hot]. The next thing I knew, the fan was on the floor, and part of the frame was broken into bits and pieces. Don't look at me, I didn't do anything! I blame the fan for somehow grabbing my hand and forcing me to knock it down. Anyway, I hadn't had my tea yet, so I couldn't be bothered to pick up the fan box. I let it go on running until I was done with checking my mail, all the while thinking: "Take that sucker! Go on making that stupid noise! See if I'll pick you up!"

Inanimate object: 0, Moi: 1

Later as I walked nonchalantly into my first lecture at the university, I walked by a table, and what should I hear but what sounded like an incredibly loud noise made when cloth gets torn. You guessed right! It was the revenge of the inanimate objects! The table had been waiting for me. It held on to my blouse, and snagged it when I refused to stay put. Needless to say, only at that moment everyone stopped talking and some of the people moaned in sympathy.

Total score? Inanimate object: 1, Moi: 1

Though I have to say, I tend to either snag my clothes onto things, or burn them while ironing. Maybe it was just regular Let's-destroy-another-piece-of-cloth Day. So I wouldn't be entirely sure about that total score. . .

Hello World!

Wow. Finally.

I've been meaning to write down my first post for what seems to be a long, long time. But I didn't quite know what to write. Like I explained to a friend, I wanted the first post to be something that would capture the attention of my readers, and keep them coming back for more. To which he retorted, "Post a picture of marijuana then."

Well, since I haven't come up with anything very witty to write, I'll just go with the flow and see where I end up. Long journey or short, I've started the blog and I'm going to do my best to keep on posting stuffs. We'll see where this goes.

Speaking of seeing where things go, 2010's being such a bitch. I've been sick on and off for the last two weeks. I don't like it. I have a feeling this year's gonna be a tough one. I just really hope that my luck will somehow turn around, and things will start getting better.. like at university, for example.

Second semester resumes tomorrow, but I'm still in a lazy mood, so I'm not ready for classes to start again. If only the Minister of Education or whatever consulted me before deciding when studies were to be resumed... THAT would have been pretty much awesome! Fortunately, I don't have a full day tomorrow, so I'm really looking forward to coming back home early, even if it's to work on my assignment.
